Day 16: Release

Day 16. Release: Balloons, lanterns, butterflies, doves.

For Lily's 2nd Heavenly Birthday celebration, I had a balloon release with some friends from my local support group. Everyone wrote a note to Lily on a pink (for my sweet little girl) balloon. When we let them go, they looked like they were dancing up to the Heavens! It was a powerful and beautiful moment to see those love letters floating to her.

On October 1st of this year, I went to a special remembrance ceremony where we had a balloon release and candelighting.

I plan on doing other releases for Lily's future birthdays, such as butterflies, ladybugs, and sky lanterns. I want to place her headstone on her 3rd birthday next year and have a butterfly release. I enjoy planning special things like this for her.
